Actually Jeff, as someone that travels the world for work all the time,
(it is my 29th year this year) I would say that is the US which is
"strange", in the sense of being unusual. Most places are much more
similar to each other than to the USA, which stands out as different in
a number of ways, probably as a result of being self sufficient and
inward looking.
