Here in loverly La. 15 year old Rawk star Eric Jon uses a little rangefinder that belonged to his great grandfather, but when he wants to be cool, the AF zoom Minolta goes out in the streets. He is successful with both, but the built-in flash is a come-on for him and his gang. There are several kit cameras, all more than 100 bux, most made by Cosina. They have Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, Vivitar and other fab names, but he should be able to get them for under $200 with warranty. and zoom lens.
