Predictably enough. Just like the Contax. Zooms are nice. A slower speed optic is no big deal if you are not shooting 100 slide film but 800 or 1600 color neg film. It's a tossup. The CM's look awful nice to me. Made by the gnomes in Solms. 40mm f/2.4 (6 elements in 4 groups)? I'll take mine with extra sauce! I've have my 40 Summicron glued to my Leica since October. But I know they could not be selling. So I want the price to come down. But it holds firm. Darn it. You'd think the zoom would bring the fixed lens version down. It might. LEICA VARIO-ELMAR f/3.5-6.5/35-70mm That's the zoom. Seems like you could take that around the world and not miss very many shots. Mark Rabiner Photography Portland Oregon http://rabinergroup.com/
