Most wild dogs don't eat cooked bones.

Raw bones are fine. Cooked bones are more apt to splinter and cause
problems.

Wild dogs (as opposed to just feral domestic ones) also have a different
digestive system. They can gorge on several pounds of raw meat with no ill
effect. A domestic dog may eat itself to death by ingesting too much raw
meat at one time.
