Subject: [Leica] 4th Generation 35mm Summicron Question

Where can I find the serial number on my Canadian made circa 1983 4th 
generation 35mm Summicron lens? It is marked "1913-1983" as it is from that 
series but the serial number seems to be very well hidden.
