I used Nikkor and Simmons Omega and what have you reels from 1965 to 1995.
I'd go to the camera store and pick up a few backs of paper, some Dektol and
a reel or two. Usually one. Like one a month. They were on the list of
expendables.
I actually had a shopping form on my darkroom wall which had reels right in
there as a thing to check off and how many and what kind.

So if that's true than that's 12x30
360!
X 5 bucks that's $1800!
My first M6!
I'd leave some room for some leeway though! :)

Then I found out about Hewes reels from Marc James Small I think around
1995. For much bucks I invested into them as I needed 16 220's and 8 35mm's.
At 18 bucks a pop.
So that's 432 bucks worth of reels!

One less thing on my laundry list though.

A pleasure to deal with in the dark; as well as the light.

Get Hewes. You're loosing money not buying them.
