I saw the 40 framelines (although they were at the outer most edges of the finder) and had I no problem with the 50 frameline. the benefit of the 1:1 finder is less eyestrain because both eyes are open, and wide vision beyond the framelines to follow events - ideal for street shooting, reportage, weddings and such, where the photog is capturing events as they happen.
