Tim, while the specific story may be flawed, it is also true that there is 
a big difference between different CD manufacturers in terms of what dye 
and materials they use, and they do make a difference in the lifetimes of 
the CDs. Of course with the high res digital pics, CDs are passe anyway, 
and people need to use DVDs or harddrives...
