The problem is that the technology is changing daily. The digital companies can hardly keep up with it. Last week it was 16mp backs, now it's 22mp backs. They are pouring just gobs of cash into R&D and are moving forward as fast as possible. If they don't, they'll get overrun. This keeps the price high since they are always marketing and selling the latest back and the next back, and not really looking back. So until the technology hits a wall, where they cannot get any more MPs and the sensor is full frame and the sensor yield is good enough so that the wholesale price of the big sensor is less than $10,000, then you might see a "reasonably" priced MF digital back. Don't hold your breath... :-) JB
