war with each other? That's weak..... very weak. The US sold raw 
materials and manufactured goods to the belligerants. So what? Are you 
aware that when the US fought WW1, we did so without manufacturing a 
single artillery tube? Our artillery and machineguns were manufactured 
by the French & British. Only late in the war did we begin supplying our 
own machineguns to replace the ones supplied by the Allies.

After a short occupation period on the fringes of Germany, the US pulled 
ALL troops from Europe, leaving enforcement of the restrictions against 
German rearmament to France & Britain. The failure to prevent the 
Germans from building their Army & Navy again doesn't fall on the 
shoulders of the US.
