Subject: [Leica] Photography student questioned by police after photographing bridge

A couple of days ago there was a photographic protest there. Lots of
young people showed up at the Ballard Locks with point-and-shoots and the
occasional SLR. They snapped away in solidarity with the mixed-race guy
who'd been questioned by police and agents of the Department of
You-Know-What for taking pictures in one of Seattle's most-photographed
tourist sites--an act that an agent of said department claimed was
illegal.

A photo of these Kids with Kameras made our local section's first
page yesterday.

I'd hesitate to call the event a "shoot-in" for obvious reasons. And
"snap-in" has other connotations. :-)
