The rear impact structure worked well. On ovals the impact angle is usually tiny and whilst it looks spectacular as the car spins down the road with bits flying off the peak g experienced by the driver is not big and as long as a heavy bit of debris does not hit him he is OK. The bad accidents have a short duration and look unimpressive. If Ralf had hit front first he may not still be with us......... I really do believe in equal opportunity in education. I was lucky enough to enter University in the UK at a time when they had "county awards". If one had high enough academic achievement one had the right to financial support, depending on family income. if you did not reach the appropriate academic standards only a couple of Universities would consider you, however rich you were. It is not the same now and the system is weaker. I would rather have fewer university graduates at a higher level and all state funded solely on merit. Just my personal opinion. cheers Frank On 27 Jun, 2004, at 14:13, Leonard J Kapner wrote: > Ah, well... I hope and pray Ralf is recovering well from his moment > last > weekend.
