Lager says early Summitars have flat diaphram blades that form a circular 
aperture while later Summitars have domed [forward curving] blades that form a 
hexagonal opening. He adds that Summitars after Nov. 1945 [@ #587601] are 
factory coated and from early 1946 [about #611000] have international apertures to 
f16.-- bob cole
