It takes out my will to live. Although I hate to overstate things. I hope your D2 has gone on to a better afterlife with a new master. Mark Rabiner Photography Portland Oregon Mark -- The last thing I want to do is diminish your will to live. On all things photographic I admire your wisdom as well as your work. In spite of my love of the process, I moved out of the darkroom to better meet my vision of what the final product should be. I feel like a hypocrite saying this because I've often told my students that life is best lived as a process -- a journey to be savored, not a destination to be reached. Yet, for me beauty is part of life's meaning and I get closer to a beautiful product digitally than chemically. You are a darkroom artist. You are blessed to be able to relish the journey and be fully rewarded at your destination. This should enhance your will to live, while I struggle to find that will on life's side roads to meaning.
