Are the numbers along the edge of the film visible in those blank areas?
Just making sure it's not some kind of weird development problem.  If the
frame numbers and markings aren't there, something is wrong with
development.  If they are there, then something is wrong with your exposure.

I'd buy a roll of regular color negative film.  Go outside on a sunny day.
With 100 speed film, you should see something like f16 at 1/60 or 1/125.
Then, take identical exposures with different shutter speeds of the same
subject.  f11 at 1/125, f8 at 1/250, etc.  Have them develop the roll only,
but don't print it, and don't cut it.

This is probably the cheapest way to see if your shutter speeds are off.
