I was in Chicago last summer and made it from > there to St. Louis in four and a half hours :) ... Only a small exaggeration. I live in a burb about 30 miles north of the the city. On a good day, I can get downtown to the loop in 45 minutes out of peak hours. On a bad day, it takes about 90 minutes -- and then I am only downtown. Getting down to the the Southern outskirts can easily take as long again. So, on a good day, If I am going South, it takes be about 1 1/2 hours to get out of the urban areas -- but on most days with average congestion, about twice that. Of course, if I go Northish, I am out of the urban area very quickly :-) -- Clive http://www.pbase.com/chmoss/root
