The filter threads are clean; based on the info from your Tiffen brochure, it appears that Yashica used 1 of the more unusual filter threads. -------------- From: Thinkofcole@aol.com Subject: [Leica] re 50m/1.8 Yashinon screw thread Chris says the 50/1.8 Yashinon lens appears to have a 43mm filter thread but that a 43mm filter doesn't go on; Steve Gandy's Cameraquest site says the lens takes a 43mm filter. But one of my old Tiffen Optical Company filter guides [from 1969] shows that filters come with four different filter threads: Fine, medium, course and American Standard. Somebody out there -- possibly Steve Gandy -- knows which 43mm filter it takes. Or else the filter threads need cleaning. -- bob cole __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
