We've had cats in our family it seems for eons and lost the last one, old Miller 22 years old, a household centre piece about 13 months ago while I was in Boston shooting "Women in Medicine." I'm 5000 KLMs away and Irene at home waiting for the vet to come and finally put the old guy down. Damn it was hell, her crying, me crying and trying to console her while she waited. So I offer my deepest sympathies for the loss of Calico as it's never an easy time for any pet owner. We all know in a case like this it's the best for our friend to go quietly and to end their suffering. But that will never end the years of fun, amusement and a love we've enjoyed together with their antics and fussing. Hang loose, take a bit of time and just maybe another Calico will find it's way into your home and heart. But for now enjoy the past times with the warmest of memories. ted
