I've done the vertical adjustment to an M4-P but it was an early one (1981 
vintage) and there was a slotted screw behind the hole.  I wasn't aware that 
Leica had gone to the newer style prior to the M6 but Leica does have a habit of 
hybriding during transitional periods.
