Subject: RE: [Leica] processing temp in XTOL

Adam,
It is mostly anecdotal, but my Xtol 1:3 processing displays much better
grain structure at 72 to 73F than it does at 68. The anecdotal part is
that I have only run two batches at 65 and 68 whereas I routinely run 72
to 75F with outstanding results.

Subject: [Leica] processing temp in XTOL

I've always processed Xtol at 68.

But I'm going to be processing some 1:3 dilutions and wonder if going up
to say 75 wouldn't speed things up.

But if it does speed up the processing will it have a negative effect?

I'm not sure about the tradeoffs.

I read (here) that TMAX developer likes 75 better than cooler temps.
What about XTOL?

Thanks for your thoughts on this.
