In addition to what you mentioned the meter is different with lower 
sensitivity and a bit more fragile in the SL2. The SL2 displays the set 
aperture on the viewfinder so all that is extra. The SL2 has a finder 
illuminator.  The shutter is different in the SL2. That is just off the 
top of my head.
