Many of the negative comments that have been mentioned are valid; they do trash your clothes (they turn t-shirts into a collection of ball-like pilling in short time), the velcro is amazingly loud, they are bulky for their capacity and they are not in any way unassuming or easy to hide. One point that has been raised is that the early, trapezoidal models were awkwardly shaped. These bags have all been discontinued. The new models are at www.crumpler.com.au We have a Wonder Weenie with Bunion insert, a Budgie Smuggler, a 15 Love, a Steamer (one of the discontinued trapezoidal ones) and numerous accessories for phones, small pieces of equipment etc. I use them for work all the time to transport photo gear and other equipment. For my purposes they are great. I like them for a number of reasons. Crumplers protect my gear from thumps, bumps and other insults better than other bags. They are secure enough that no-one could steal anything from them without the owner noticing (as long as you close it properly). They look good, are dirt resistant and are easy to clean. They seal well so sand, sea salt and other crud does not get into your rangefinder mechanism or other sensitive equipment. Different bags suit different people, but currently, comparing a Crumpler to another camera bag is apples and oranges. If you are thinking of buying a Crumpler you probably want to: Look a bit different but stand out (unless you're in Melbourne where everyone has one) Protect your photo gear from the elements and theft (but be willing to have it in your hands when you need it, not relying on swift extraction from your bag for instant use) Keep the same bag for quite a while (they are the toughest bags I've seen) Not really care too much about the clothes under the bag (besides, they don't go with suits or after five wear) Like the sound of ripping velcro _a lot_ Be prepared to have people ask 'where did you get that bag?' (I found that a dozen or so Crumpler catalogues in my bag lasted less than two days so I just tell people where the website is now).
