Right on, couldn't have been better! I look for this type of lighting all the time simply because it's so effective at lifting the subject off the page. One can hardly go wrong looking for the shadow side first and taking a picture with the light working as it does here. It hardly matters what the subject is from people, architecture, scenics whatever, if one shoots from the "shadow side" they are going to have a head start at a successful picture. When a viewer looks through my "Doctors' Work" b&w book it has all kinds of examples where "shooting from the shadow side" is making the motivating moment work. In exactly the manner you have done here. Actually yours is an excellent example for many LUG members to see what I've talked about for years, and that is to always look for the shadow side and shoot from that angle. In doing so it makes the light work for you accenting your subjects, rather than just a volume of light for an exposure. A solid piece of seeing and using light, well done, ted "DOCTORS' WORK" book www.islandnet.com/~tedgrant - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
