Them and our guy. I mean, today anyone with two pennies worth of intelligence knows you are asking for major trouble "shooting in any mall without specific permission!" And rarely ever attained by some one wishing to shoot happy snap HCB kinds of stuff. After all, a Mall isn't like walking down the street, it's privately owned and controlled by the rules and regulations set by the owners and no amount of posturing, my rights etc., are going to let you off the hook. Certainly if you piss off the security folks, no matter how close they are to mental midgets. I suppose it's possible our arrested LUG member, Keith R. Wessel, was unaware of who owns the property and that anyone carrying a camera into the mall does so at their own risk. What he hasn't said..... "was he asked not to take pictures before being grabbed? And if so Keith, what did you say and do when they did?" If not so, he might claim complete innocents of the property ownership rights and plead he thought it was the same as walking down the street photographing people looking in shop windows. They not likely would buy it, but worth a try. And with the USA as skittish as a cat in heat about cameras pointed almost anywhere these days, one would be very wise to take extreme care which direction you're pointing that expensive Leica lens, as it maybe the last time you point it anywhere. Just some thoughts. ted - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
