The cross over between the two ranges was always different. Now I use a Minolta digital meter and just don't have a problem. I know the lighting you're talking about EI 400, 1/60th @ f2.8 ... it's ALWAYS like that. I quit using a meter for that light. It's boring always getting the same reading. So if that'st the range giving you problems, take the Gossen. It's trustworthy away from that borderline and now you know what the borderline is, so you can just go with 1/60th @ 2.8.
