I starved for a brief part of a summer once in my early 20's. And was homeless for a brief period that summer looking for soft alleys to sleep in in St. Louis And with an infected ingrown toenail damn it! Some times life does not give you a break! I was getting blood poisoning! St Louis in the summer is no picnic by the way. I saved up change for a McDonalds burger which took more than a day or two to do. I was ordering that regular burger when the guy behind me comes up next to me on my right and plunks down a twenty dollar bill right next to me! The audacity of it almost landed him some loose front teeth! The nerve of that guy I barely contained myself I know I was red in the face! I could have eaten off of that 20 for a more than a Month! And of course plan B was to grab the 20 and run but I was about to get my burger and I hung out at the place. I had three quarters two dimes and a nickel, something like that. Now i shot snapshots with Noctilux lens which cost more money than I made in years those days) Had that summer not happened I'd probably be shooting with a PENTAX! :) Mark Rabiner Portland, Oregon USA http://www.rabinergroup.com - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
