Clif,
I don't have one so take my comments for what it is worth. For people
on a budget the Epson 3200 is the standard MF/4X5 scanner. Difficulties
would include having to keep the glass clean and a somewhat limited
dynamic range; it is great for the price. Epson is selling so many that
Canon is jumping in with a similar product.

Others on this list will chime in with real world experience. But it is
a rule of thumb that when a camera store salesperson really doesn't like
modern hardware it either isn't in stock or it doesn't have a SPIFF.
The one exception is when that salesperson can suggest a similar priced
item and exactly why the other item is better for you. All too many
people want you to buy a D1X when the funds are available for a Fuji
210.

I was wondering if anyone on the list could give me
an update on their experience with flat bed scanners
used to scan 6x6 T400CN negatives.
I am considering an Epson 3200.
I was recently steered away from that direction by a
Precision Camera employee but there's no way I can
afford a MF film scanner and I keep reading favorable
articles on the flat beds.
Any advice?

Thanks,
Clif Wright
