Hi all,
This may be of interest to any of you who collect photographic art.
I realise that this is OT but at least some of the images were taken
using Leicas. Those of David Oliver, Rob Heyman and John Laham
definitely were.
Joanne Felk was a Master Photographer here in Australia but she was
killed in an accident a few weeks ago. Over the last few years her
husband has sadly lost two sons and now Jo has gone.
The attached notice will explain the purpose of the auction. Please feel
free to bid for any prints you take a fancy to. There are a lot of fine
photographers donating prints to be auctioned and we will all be bidding
for each others work. ( Current exchange rate is around 0.7 $ to the
US$. so if a print sells for AU$100 you get in for US$70.)

Joanne Felk Tribute Print Auction
November 3 - 14, 2003 @ www.onlineprintauction.com
An auction featuring over 140 fine photographic prints by photographers
from Australia, New Zealand and the United
Kingdom will feature in an online print auction commencing on Monday,
November 3rd, 2003 and running for two weeks.
Bidding will take place exclusively online at
www.onlineprintauction.com The lots will also include a selection of
images
by Joanne Felk, M.Photog. The full catalog of images will be available
for viewing when bidding opens on Monday.
The print auction is a means by which photographers have chosen to pay
tribute to the late Joanne Felk, M.Photog. Jo's
husband Shane and sons, Rhys, Caleb and Vaughn plan to develop an
archival collection of Jo's photographic work
following the online print auction. Joanne has been a member of the
Australian Photographer of the Year Award
Sub-Committee, a Judge for the APPAs and a long term member of the NSW
Division.
It would be appreciated if you could pass this information on to your
colleagues and clients to assist us in publicising the
auction.
