So was Microsoft. The Microsoft product worked better, so people used it. No real users care about innovation. They care about usability. I have always had multiple browsers on my desktop. The key phrase is "Netscape--outdated, slow, and unstable--went down for the count." Business practises notwithstanding, IE worked better.
