Normally, for web use, a focused image with one dominant subject works best as the detail on the screen always leaves a lot to be desired. Normally, I post focused images as my PAW as that works best on the web. However, Steve in particular stubbornly posted many complex images as he found such images more intellectually challenging as well as esthetically pleasing to him. As I wanted to post an image as a tribute to Steve, I posted an image that he might have found worthwhile. As to comments, I have a very thick skin: you can't have gone the places I've been without some rhino hide. Also, I believe that there is some thin skin here. One of the reasons I don't especially comment on others images is I had made a fairly focused comment about one of Graham's very first postings that was made entirely in the spirit of help and coaching. Some of the LUG comments after were to the effect of you can not put images up without being flamed. For me, bring on the comments. From Ted I have learned to bend my knees or crawl to get the correct viewpoint, from Steve and others I have learned better ways of navigating the street, from the Deadman I have learned PS tricks that really help. The list goes on. A photographer has to isolate each action and get it at each peak. Separately. Unless you are like that press photog in Iraq, who combined a couple of shots. Possibly Don did not want any comments. I could live with that, if he said so.
