The Lug can be hard on new posters, but we settle in fast if you show us some nice stuff. I kinda like that it is less a place for Leica fondlers and more a place for photographers. What a wonderful place to show what you can do! Thousands of people around the world looking at your work. The stuff you post oughta be good. It should be the best you've done. I've taken my lumps. Sometimes I disagreed, but I keep sticking my shots in your face, and I hope more people do. If someone crits my pix and I've never seen their work, then it is meaningless to me. If Nathan, or Kyle or Ted or SL, or Graham just to name a short list trashes my shot, I know it is trash. If Doug Herr, Mark Rabidner, that Carter Gal, Daniel, or Deadman, just to name a few, give me praise, I know it is a damn worthy shot. I get eight to ten thousand visits to my website every month. That's awesome. Of course my ratings were higher in TV, but there I did not have the caliber of wonderful photographers to bounce my stuff off. One more thing. I named some names up there, but the best part of this, is that you can take a shot you are unsure of, and send it to one of these wonderful talents, offline, and they will happily give you a FREE evaluation of your shot.
