I have used a polarizer with a dot that you had too unscrew, turn
around, remember the position of the dot, screw on the lens again, turn
the dot in the right position and at last take the picture. I didn't use
it very long.
Then I bought the usual swing out polarizer and liked it right away.
unfortunate it can only be used with A42 mounts. On the other hand it
does fit on a lot of lenses. This polarizer started to separated so I
took my chances when I found a good deal on ebay and bought a new
version swing out polarizer. Because I use older lenses I had to buy
another two filter rings but now I can also use my 28 and 50 summilux.
Unfortunate it doesn't fit my 35 summilux (pre asph) so for that lens I
still use the old version swing out polarizer. The new version also
obstructs the VF quit a bit.
The polarizer itself is not so bulky but in the very nice carrying case,
which also hold the rings, it is a bit bulky. It makes the camera a bit
bigger and of course operation takes a bit more time. But in the end ti
is worth it.

Best regards,

Michiel Fokkema

inhibit the handling of the camera? Have you tried other normal
polarizers and noted the rotation prior to putting it on the lens? I ask because I
love the look that a polarizer will give but have never used one an a
rangefinder and I have a feeling that is will make the camera feel a bit clumsy?
Am I wrong? Of course, other with knowledge of this topic please chime
in too.
