In fact, you can now find a mechanically/optically solid, "beater" M6
for under 100. And you can certainly find really nice M6s and M6TTLs for
1150 and under - which, for Leica, is cheap.

Then I'm going to get an M6 TTL for under $1000? Even during the posh
80s I 
had to wait for a new Leica lens from my NYC dealer. He didn't like to
lay out 
money for Leica stock. Not only that, but Leitz at that time was tardy
in 
delivery.
