Subject: Re: [Leica] 19mm R Lens on EOS Body

The focusing screens of Canon EOS bodies are optimised for brightness.
Their low contrast makes manual focusing difficult. With the EOS 3 (also
EOS 1, 1n, 1V, 1D and 1Ds) I suggest you get the Canon focusing screen Ec-B
which has microprism and split-image. This will help manual focusing
somewhat. Should you require extra brightness and contrast, send the screen
to Bill Maxwell who is working on some of my focusing screens as we speak.

Cheers,

Joseph
