Leica meters and cameras do not "read-out" in EV's and most older hand held meters do not either. My meters, Sekonic Studio Deluxe, Weston Master II, Pentax Digital Spot Meter, and Leica Meter MC, do not read-out in EV numbers. They give you f/stop and shutter speed only. Leica film cameras don't use EV numbers. Even though EV numbers are an exact correlation of f/stop to shutter speed, they are not found on Leicas. Leica folks do not speak in terms of EV numbers as Hasselblad 500 series folks do. But hey... we don't need no stinkin' meters.
