Maybe it's just my old tired eyes. Unfortunately, an individual can't tell if the combination will work simply by handling one in a showroom. As for modes, I'll use either the aperture preferred or manual. There are a few others built into the body, but then one must read the manual to figure out how they work. As for lenses, I've used the 28PC, 35/2, 50/2, 60, 100/2.8, 80-200/4 and 280/2.8 with extenders. I'm especially pleased with the results from the 80-200. The major problem I've encountered is not being able to go wide enough. Due to the 1.6x magnification factor from the size of the sensor, the 28 becomes about a 46mm. So a Canon 16-35 will no doubt eventually join the household. So far I've used only the on board flash, usually for fill. However, I am awaiting the appropriate adapter for my Metz 40 MZ2.
