The pictures I am posting are from one particular street in downtown Copenhagen, called Nyhavn. It is the bar capital of Scandinavia, especially in the summer. We had gone there for a beer Friday evening, when the place was absolutely packed. On Saturday morning I woke up early and went to Nyhavn to catch the early morning scenery. As I expected, there were still a few people in varying states of merriment (one of the bars is open 24 hours). The main picture is of 3 people who were on their way home from what appeared to have been a strenuous night: http://www.wajsmanphoto.com/2003_31.jpg The first alternate is an overall view of the street at 7 a.m. A lone taxi hangs around, hoping to find someone who needed to get home and had not spent all his money drinking: http://www.wajsmanphoto.com/2003_31alt1.jpg The taxi driver, me and the guy operating the cleaning machine were the only sober people there: http://www.wajsmanphoto.com/2003_31alt2.jpg I spotted this guy emtying his beer into the flower pots: http://www.wajsmanphoto.com/2003_31alt3.jpg ...and walking back to his friends with a palpable sense of relief: http://www.wajsmanphoto.com/2003_31alt4.jpg All pictures with M6, 50mm Summilux, Agfa Scala. The combined PAW index is at: http://www.wajsmanphoto.com/indexpaw2003.htm and comments/critique are always appreciated.
