Mark; it was a bit embarrassing, so perhaps I did not make myself quite clear, or you read too fast.. Anyway I have no real darkroom out here in the sticks on the French coast, but I like to develop my films here on a current basis to make sure everything is fine for later printing when I go back to Hamburg. When I am here I usually put the film onto the reels of my Jobo tank some time after midnight when everything here is one big darkroom. Then I develop the next morning when the temperature is at its lowest And did I say I have several identical tanks? So I grabbed the first tank that i saw in the morning. (More explanations needed??? If yes, then read on!) I then completed the normal developing procedure with my Xtol 1+1, stop bath and hypo. And as I said, when I took the reels out of the tank, there was not even any films on the reels. Not only no underdeveloped negatives, but no negatives at all. Empty reels. The ultimate Xtol failure! And did I say I have several identical tanks? So I developed the next one, which I earlier presumed empty. It was not. The ultimate Xtol recovery. Correctly developed negatives on full reels Regards Chris Senior mom, ops, senior member LUG - -- Christer Almqvist D 20255 Hamburg and / or F 50590 Regnéville sur Mer please look at my NEW b+w pictures at: http://www.almqvist.net/chris/dozen/ old pictures still at: http://www.almqvist.net/chris/new - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
