Not true about HCB. He could be very economical with film. My old, 
tired story comes from former editor of Epoca magazine (Italy's LIFE 
magazine) who hired Cartier-Bresson to do a photo essay on Portugal. He 
took his Leica and two rolls of Ektachrome with him. And when Guido 
Mattoni (the editor) looked through his film, he said he could have 
used 70 or the 72 frames in the magazine. It's a rare photographer who 
can get that kind of success rate.
