"pathetic subject"? Subject being the person who is homeless or homelessness in general? And by pathetic you mean having the capacity to move one to either compassionate or contemptuous pity? It seems you might be in danger of falling on the contemptuous side of things. More photo critique and less moralizing, please.

Maybe the photo is a sign of respect, a recognition that a human being,

matter how alienated from society is part of it.
