The think I didn't like about them (I was working at a camera store at the time) is the fact that the rep knew NOTHING about the SLR line at all, but said the IS-1 (first model in what is now the E20 digital) would totally REPLACE ALL SLR cameras. It was so much better! They seemed to have forgotten their SLR system at least 15 years before it was finally officially discontinued. Can you imagine Leicas based on an OM-10 (don't wind that camera yet - make sure it's finished its exposure or it's GONE).>> Don't bad mouth the Olympii. I have 4, two OM-1s and two OM-2s. They have travelled with me all over the world for the last 25 years and have never misfired yet or needed a CLA. The OM-2s are dead accurate on exposure too. Too bad Olympus is now concentrating only on P&S and digital cameras. The SLRs are what a manual SLR should be. As far as frequency of Leica CLAs go, I just broke down and had my first edition M3, circa 1954, overhauled by Sherry Krauter. Apart from the oil drying up and a little tweaking of the shutter speeds, it was in fine condition. It didn't quite make the half century mark but I like to pamper the little beast.
