I think the reason many erroneously think that there's an "h" in Voigtlander (sorry, my keyboard doesn't do umlaus) is that the script used on the cameras (at least the old non-working Vito Automatic I that I have) does indeed look like it has an "h" in it, but is in reality the "t" and the "l" of the script, joined together.
