When I was in the Navy on the PARCHE which was being built in Pascagoula, there was a welder who did nothing but the fine stainless steel for things like the galley. He welded entirely without a mask. He was about 65 or 70. I can't imagine how he had any vision at all since he'd been doing it for years. Shuddering....
