I've heard that the black paint on Voigtlander lenses is designed to 
rub off more quickly, just like the Leica MP, in order to reveal the 
"inner beauty/brassness."

I dunno. My CV 50 f/1.5 looks like it's seen better days already. 
I'd be more proud in 10 years if it looked like it looks now. I 
believe wear should be well worn and deserved....

p.s. I also noticed the M7 has weak paint as well. The film back / 
pressure plate is already wearing a bit thin where my leather case 
was rubbing on it.
