Mine was not under warranty though. I got the same " it is on the technician's bench" story as you got. My repairs took approximately 6 weeks, give or take a couple days. Since it was under warranty, I sent it to Leica USA in Northvale, NJ. At the end of May, I received a printout indicating that the unit was received and should be repaired in three weeks. As of yesterday, I had not heard anything so I phone Leica and spoke with a service representative. The person I spoke with indicated that they were behind and my unit was on the technician's test bench being worked on right now. Imagine that! Well, anyway, I was told to expect it back the end of next week which will effectively be two months since it was sent to Leica. I'm curious abou LUG experiences with Leica repair....this seems an excessively long repair to me. Have others experienced this as well? Maybe this is the typical length of time it takes for a repair, but I don't know.
