Thanks for all the info about this adapter.  You showed me places to buy 
it and how it works.  

It does not sound as attractive as I thought it might be.  The point 
about it being difficult to install or remove without damaging the R 
lens is a show stopper.  I think we need a better adapter that can be 
used easily and maintains more of the camera functions.
