Jim- I flew into Ireland a few years ago and I can say that all of the
Irish Republic has a unique beauty. To start with Bunratty over to the
Cliffs of Moher is great. Go down to the Killarney Lakes area and stay in
Killarney itself. Definitely take the Ring of Kerry but only start from the
North and go south. The scenery goes from mountains to a rugged coast , back
too mountains and ends in wonderful villages like Sneem. The other area is
south of Dublin in County Wicklow in particular the Glendolaigh mountains.
Another great area including a visit to St. Kevin's and a few other towns
used in the BBC TV series Ballykissangel. The one thing you can say about
Ireland is there is a certain innocence about it . Warm friendly people and
towns or villages with old world charm---- NO GOLDEN ARCES! One piece of
advice given to me by a wise Irish gentleman talking about the weather. It
only rains twice a week, the first time for 3 days and the 2nd time for 4
days.

Cheers,
