I use my digital files for printing.  Using a digital workflow I can make my prints look exactly like the original slides instead of merely resembling the slides, as I was accustomed to with darkroom prints.  Another advantage is that artifacts of dust and scratches can be removed from the file so each print is much 'cleaner' than a darkroom print would be.  Printing from a digital file also allows much greater control of color balance, contrast and response curves than is possible with darkroom prints.
