Steve No, it depends on how picky I want to be. PhotoKit by Pixelgenius gives some wonderful conversions, using channels as filters. I also have Silver Oxide's filters which give the look of particular films - TMax, TriX, Delta, and Sepia. And if I have time, it's fun to play with Russell Brown's Seeing in Black and White: http://www.russellbrown.com/tips/photoshop.html The one I use most often (almost always) now is PhotoKit. It applies the action on a layer so it's always reversible or adjustable. You get a choice of 12 filters. PhotoKit includes a lot more and is probably the best $50 I ever spent on software. They have their own e-mail list and answer all questions immediately. I have no connection with them, but they are Pixel Geniuses and include most of the gurus who write the PhotoShop books: http://www.pixelgenius.com/photokit/index.html Hope this helps!
