That strikes me as a too much risk for far too little return...:-) - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us] On Behalf Of Michael Chmilar Sent: Tuesday, June 10, 2003 4:09 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: RE: [Leica] Horseshoe bend bdcolen <bdcolen@earthlink.net> said: > Okay, so after you've risked your life, what do you have? ;-) Pretty much the same result that Alastair (and thousands of others) got. Only bigger! Cuz it's 4x5! You can walk up and down the rim as much as you want. There is only one shot. Actually, the spot is not that scary. The worst is when the wind is blowing up the face of the drop, in gusts. And, consider this: if you are hand-holding an SLR with an ultra-wide lens, you might be tempted, while still looking through the viewfinder, to take "one little step closer" - over the edge! At least with a tripod, that risk is reduced. Oh yeah, don't forget about the evil, mythical creature that hides under the drop, waiting for you to lean over, so it can reach up, grab your belt (or collar), and pull you over. later, Mike - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
